Media Portal for 2025
Media Accreditation
The media accreditation portal is now open for journalists and media professionals eager to cover the Ghana Badminton Grand Slam, a historic and celebrated event in the world of badminton, proudly showcasing Ghana’s rich sporting legacy since its inception in 1979. As a trailblazer in African badminton, this tournament has consistently set the standard for excellence, blending tradition with innovation, and the portal provides an opportunity for media to capture this prestigious event throughout the 2025 season.
The media accreditation is required by anyone conducting onsite media coverage of the event in the form of storytelling, news reporting, photography, videography, broadcasting, etc. This includes media professionals such as:
Written press (news agencies, magazines, newspapers, online media)
Photographers
Non-Rights-Holding Broadcasters (the TV and radio companies who are engaged in producing video news highlights)
Media departments of institutions (such as sports federations, sports clubs, venues, host cities, universities, partners)
Content creators/Bloggers
Please note that Rights-Holding Broadcasters will need to apply through a separate form to obtain media accreditation.
Start of media accreditation: 31 May 2025
End of media accreditation: 30 June 2025
The portal will operate in two distinct periods, with a brief closure in between to allow the organizing team sufficient time to process applications—please note that no applications can be submitted during this closure.
To ensure a smooth application process, media personnel are strongly advised to review the attached application requirements document thoroughly before starting. This document outlines all necessary materials, such as proof of published work, a letter of endorsement, and a suitable headshot, to guarantee your application meets the criteria for covering the Ghana Badminton Grand Slam in July 2025. Preparing these materials in advance will help you secure your accreditation for this iconic tournament that continues to elevate the sport on a global stage.
Please read the Media-Application-Requirements-2025 requirements document before beginning the application process to ensure you have collected all the required information.
The approved media will collect their ID Cards at the Media Accreditation Centre at the Venue for each event upon arrival. Media representatives must appear in person and be able to identify themselves with an official document such as passport or ID. ID should be consistent with the identity document information (passport) submitted.
All media are required to sign the General Consent Form which will be sent to approved applicants. If the General Consent Form has not been signed online, a paper version must be signed upon reception of the ID card.
